To put things simply for anyone just surfing this page randomly, this page contains the long, complex history of Card Captor Zanka, and how she came to be. It exists mainly to remind myself of why she's here, but I thought I'd share her story with all of you as well. ^^ I hope you are able to at least slightly enjoy the history of my CCS doujin, and how it got started n' stuff ^-^

It all started waaay back in November 2005. I was a member of a Tokyo Mew Mew forum, and "design a mew mew" contests were really popular. One such contest was a "Design a Clow Card Mew Mew" contest. I chose the Libra Card for my Mew, since everyone else was doing the animal-cards, and I wanted to be creative. The original Mew Libra picture was lost, so I redrew her. She turned out as a "gangaro". I had so much designing Mew Libra that I went ahead and decided I wanted to make another Clow Card Mew Mew.
It wasn't long before the idea of a Mew Mew who fused with all the cards one-by-one came to mind. Zanka stayed a Mew Mew for quite a while, and I started a design contest to get help for her outfits. After that, Zanka turned into a Card Captor when I ordered my boxset of the whole Card Captor Sakura series, episodes 1 to 70, and both movies.
That April, I was locked in a summer beach house for two weeks to "enjoy the life of the rich". I got bored out of my mind, so wrote the first three chapters of Card Captor Zanka. There were only ever three chapters of the fanfiction. At this time, Zanka was the lone cosplayer because her friends were too embarassed to dress up. In the fanfiction, Cerise was called Kira, and Sitara was called Rina. Zanka was called "Zanika". The plot of the story itself was also chicken-scratch.

CCZ turned into a doujin mainly because I'd been wanting to do a doujin, or any sort of manga, for a long time. It was when I started reading another Card Captor Sakura Doujin, CC-Torika, that I finally decided to make one for myself.

With changing into a comic/manga came many changes for my plot and characters. They all recieved new names, with the exception of Zanka, who only lost the "i" in her name, and personalities. The plot went from just catching cards to a more deep and suspenseful story, and I was able to aim for more action packed chapters and adventures. Overall, I perfer CCZ as a doujin. >3
